McCarthy Cars Service Centre was established in 1973 by Jim McCarthy and to this day the business remains firmly in family hands, operated by the next generation of the family – James, Jonathan and Robert.

We have a well-deserved reputation in Croydon for the exceptional customer service and workmanship that we provide along with honest, transparent pricing. All this is backed up by our status as an RAC Approved Garage – our garage is regularly inspected to ensure that we keep up the high standards that the RAC expect of their members and we hope that this reassures new customers to try us out.

Our Services

We provide all the services that you’d hope for from a quality independent garage such as MOT testing, warranty and post-warranty servicing and a full range of mechanical and electrical services. We very much believe in regular training to keep us at the top of our game and are pleased to be one of few garages in Croydon that are qualified to work on electric and hybrid vehicles. We also provide additional services such as personalised plate fitting and the installation of in-car entertainment equipment.
